What happens if I make a mistake? Or: not all jewelry can be perfect.

Everyone makes mistakes, right? Well, it's the same when making a piece of jewelry. True, the customer usually only sees the more or less perfect end result that he buys. In my case, although it is not very common, it does happen that a caption does not work as it should. It's not in the middle, a letter has slipped, the text is crooked, or you can't hit the letter or the pattern the first time and then it's very difficult to put the beater back in the same place and try again - usually the end result is a slipped pattern. For more difficult and complicated requests and longer texts, the chance of making mistakes is even greater, especially if I cannot accurately measure the length of the text beforehand.

But what happens to these spoiled pendants? If the end result is very unsightly, in the case of gold-filled pendants, the pendant will unfortunately be thrown away. I'll keep the silver pendants. On the other hand, if the end result is not perfect, but not ugly - but I would not send it to the customer - I will put the pendant away. I collect these "spoiled" medallions and make a fair out of them. These imperfect pieces of jewelry are available at a discounted price, but I'm sure someone will be very happy with them. Liza's mom, who doesn't mind that the name of her most precious treasure is not exactly in the middle. Petra, who is happy with her P monogram necklace, because I forgot that another Petra also needs to put a Swarovski stone under the letter. A wife who proudly wears her husband's monogram M as a bracelet is okay with one leg of the M showing minimally double. Everyone is doing well, and I am doubly happy, because I saved some money from my job, but of course mostly because a personal, unique piece of jewelry found a home.
In the same way, jewelry made specifically for photography also finds a home. I always make labeled jewelry for photo shoots. After all, this is how you can really see what the jewelry I make is like, what you can expect when you order a piece of jewelry with a unique inscription. What are the fonts and how do the samples look. Of course, yours will certainly not be identical to any other jewelry. And I think that's the best thing about it. My philosophy is that not all pendants can be perfect all the time. It is a manual technique, the beauty of which lies in its imperfection. It is certain that no two are alike, even if it is only one monogram.
From time to time, you can get jewelry made for photo shoots or jewelry that is not completely flawless at a discounted price. You can find out about these fairs on our social media pages ( Facebook , Instagram ) and from our newsletter. But the fair will first take place within the framework of a "VIP event", which means that for the duration of the event (for two days) the webshop can only be accessed with a password. The password required for entry will be available to newsletter subscribers, so they will be the first to see and buy discounted jewelry. After that, of course, the webshop will reopen for everyone. In addition, those who are subscribed to our newsletter will not only receive the entry code for the next event, but also a one-time discount code, which also provides a discount on the jewelry in stock. If you don't want to miss out, you can subscribe here by scrolling down to the bottom of the page. Believe me, it's worth it and I won't bother you with emails all the time. You always get something useful. :)
I look forward to seeing you at the next fair, June 4-5, 2022!
